Gold Coast Masjid

The Islamic Society of Gold Coast was established in 1984. The present Gold Coast Masjid was completed in 1995. As of today, there are over 10,000 Muslims living in the Gold Coast from over 60 different cultural backgrounds.

In 2013, a Trust called ‘Gold Coast Mosque Trust’ was officially registered to be the custodian of the properties & fixtures on the premises. The Trustees have set-up sub-committees to handle the day to day operations of the Masjid.

The Gold Coast Masjid provide various services (please refer to services page) to the Muslim community and it runs mainly on donations collected on Fridays at Jumma.

Please be advised that Gold Coast Mosque Trust which operates both the Gold Coast Mosque and Community Centre, is an independent body with no affiliation with any Islamic/Muslim umbrella bodies in Queensland nor in Australia.

We make our own independent decisions. Therefore, any matters related to our institutions must only be directed to the Secretary or the Chairman of the Trust.
